Report: Serie A side take advantage of Spurs to engineer profit from striker sale

According to a report in Tuttosport (as relayed by Calcio Napoli 1926), Napoli are using Tottenham’s interest in Arkadiusz Milik to enginner a better deal for the striker, even though they do not intend on selling him to the North Londoners.

Spurs have been linked heavily with a move for Milik with reports indicating that Jose Mourinho’s side are pushing hard for the striker’s signature (Alfredo Pedulla via TuttoNapoli).

It is now claimed that the Polish international, who just has a year left to run on his contract in Naples prefers to move to Juventus over Spurs.

However, it is said that Tottenham’s interest in Milik is concrete and Napoli want to use the Premier League side’s interest to ensure they get the best deal possible from Juventus.

It is revealed that while Gennaro Gattuso’s side want around €40 million (£36million) for the striker’s services this summer but are willing to accept a lower fee if the likes of Federico Bernadeschi, Daniele Rugani or Rolando Mandragora are included in the deal to take Milik to the Allianz Arena.

Spurs Web Opinion

Juventus seem to have prioritised a deal for Milik this summer and I suspect they will get him ahead of us. The Polish international is likely to be the main man in Turin, with Gonzalo Higuain seemingly on his way out.

That will not be the case at Spurs, as he would likely have to play second fiddle to Kane. So, I could see why the Napoli star would prefer a move to Juve.
