Report: Several clubs ready to pounce on Spurs target if contract talks collapse

Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that several clubs around Europe are ready to pounce on rumoured Tottenham target Paulo Dybala if his talks over a new contract with Juventus do not prove fruitful this week.

Reports over recent weeks have established Spurs as the favourites to land Dybala in the summer when his contract with Juventus runs out (Sport).

However, Juve have not yet given up hope of tying the Argentine down to a new contract, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting over recent days that the player’s agent is set to restart contract talks with the Old Lady.

The same publication have now provided an update on the forward’s future in Turin, explaining that talks between the Juve hierarchy and Dybala’s representatives are scheduled for Thursday.

It is suggested that the Serie A giants will offer the 28-year-old a three-year contract worth around €7m (£5.8m) per season.

The report adds that Dybala will only make a decision on his future after holding talks with Juventus.

Gazzetta assert that the likes of Inter Milan, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and several Premier League clubs are ‘ready to intervene’ if the player’s talks with Juve collapse.

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like clubs around Europe should have some clarity over Dybala’s future within the next week. If the Argentine does not agree on a new deal with Juventus, I am hoping that Fabio Partici’s relationship with the player and his entourage would give Spurs an advantage in the race for his signature.
