Tottenham Hotspur rounded off their pre-season preparations last weekend with a fixture against AS Roma.
On the pitch for the Italian outfit during the match in Israel was Nicolo Zaniolo, who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.
The Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that several players from the north London outfit told the Italian international to make the move and join them at Tottenham.
It is claimed that Roma are seeking a £43million fee in order to sanction the exit of Zaniolo. His career in the Italian capital has been somewhat hampered by injuries with the 23-year-old suffering two ACL tears within a year (transfermarkt).
Tottenham are desperate to add a creative outlet to their side and Zaniolo could be the final piece of the puzzle.
There is currently too much reliance on Harry Kane to drop deep and try and influence matters by playing in the likes of Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski behind the opposition defence.
At times, we need Kane to still lead the line and have a player who can in turn prove to be the creator for the England captain instead.
