Report: Sevilla linked with potential move for Tottenham-linked centre-back

According to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, Tottenham target Kim Min-Jae is being weighed up as an option for La Liga side Sevilla this summer.

Kim made 30 league appearances for Turkish side Fenerbache last season as they secured a second-placed finish (TransferMarkt).

The 25-year-old’s powerful presence at both ends of the pitch have also seen him linked to Spurs over the past couple of seasons.

Turkish newspaper Fanatik reported that Kim has a £19.5 million release clause in his contract, alerting the likes of Spurs and Everton.

Sabah have also claimed that the South Korean flew to England in recent weeks to speak to the two clubs chasing his signature.

Ekrem Konur also claimed Tottenham could turn their attention to Kim Min-jae if their pursuit of Alessandro Bastoni fell through.

However, Sevilla now look to have entered the race for the 6-foot 3-inch centre-back. Julen Lopetegui’s men have registered an interest in Kim as a replacement for Jules Kounde who could leave the club this summer amidst interest from Chelsea and Newcastle (Estadio Deportivo).

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs seem to be linked with Kim every window. Whether that is to do with the Son Heung-Min South Korean connection or a genuine interest in the player remains to be seen. If Conte believes that the player would be a good fit for his back-three, then I won’t object to him being brought in.
