Report: Sheffield United want to sign player Spurs and Liverpool are keen on in January

The Sheffield Star have reported that Sheffield United boss, Chris Wilder wants to make a move for Bournemouth rising star, David Brooks come the January transfer window.

The Welsh midfielder stayed put in the summer despite the Cherries getting relegated from the Premier League last season.

After a tough start to the Premier League campaign this time around, it is said that Wilder may already be eyeing January reinforcements.

The report claims that Brooks has emerged as a top target, with the Bournemouth man having left Sheffield United for the South Coast back in 2018.

The Cherries are expected to demand around £30m for the player, however, it remains to be seen where they are in the Championship table come January.

Last week, the Daily Mail reported that Tottenham and Liverpool were still interested in signing Brooks, meaning that the Blades may have some competition.

However, with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Harry Winks, and more, Brooks may find game time hard to come by in North London.
