The Telegraph have revealed that Harry Kane would back a move for Tottenham to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United this summer.
We covered a report from The Daily Mail which claimed that Spurs are expected to press ahead with their summer plans now that Ange Postecoglou‘s appointment has been confirmed.
Spurs could move for Harry Maguire
The report stated that the North London club have already registered an interest in Harry Maguire and are ‘well placed’ to make a move for the centre-back.
It was asserted that the Red Devils are open to the idea of selling the 30-year-old, who is allegedly keeping an ‘open mind’ about his future ahead of the summer window.
The Telegraph have said that a move for Maguire would delight Harry Kane, with the pair said to have a close relationship from their time together in the national team.
The report asserts that signing the former Leicester City star could even aid the Lilywhites in their efforts to keep Kane at the club.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is unclear if Kane himself will still be at Tottenham next summer, so I doubt if the striker’s relationship with Maguire will hold any weight at all in Spurs’ decision whether to pursue the Man Utd man.
