Report: Sky reporter reveals that Spurs scuppered Arsenal’s plans

Tottenham Hotspur hired Jose Mourinho as their new new head almost two weeks ago, and what a fortnight it has been for the North London side.

Spurs recorded their first away win since January of this year when they defeated West Ham 3-2 at the London Stadium, although that scoreline flattered the Hammers dramatically.

Tottenham followed this up by coming back from 2-0 down against Olympiacos in the Champions League to win 4-2, guaranteeing the club a spot in the knockout round.

Although sacking Mauricio Pochettino was a tough call and one that was met with sadness and anger from some Spurs fans, the recent results seem to be reinforcing the decision.

It has now been claimed that Arsenal wanted their club to be the one turned around by the Special One this month, as they had their eye on Mourinho as their next manager.

The Gunners sacked Unai Emery on Friday morning, by Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol claims that senior figures at the club wanted Mourinho before he signed for Spurs.
