Report: Solskjaer makes major admission to players ahead of Spurs clash

According to The Sun, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told his players that he could be sacked if they suffer defeat in their next two games against Tottenham and Manchester City.

Tottenham travel to Old Trafford later this evening full of confidence after starting the Jose Mourinho era with three wins out of three.

This will be the first time Mourinho has returned to Old Trafford as an opponent since he was sacked as Red Devils manager a year ago.

A win for Spurs later tonight will be a massive boost and put the North London side right back in the race for the top four while United cannot afford to lose games given their current predicament.

The report in The Sun claims that Solskjaer has now tried to get his players up for the match against Spurs by revealing to them that he could lose his job if the team doesn’t start producing results starting with the clash against Mourinho’s men.

The publication quotes an inside source from the club as saying: “Ole was a little bit emotional and told them that if they don’t get two results this week, he could be gone.

“It is the worst time to be facing Spurs with Jose coming back.”
