Report: Some figures at Spurs are ‘seriously suggesting’ a potential Pochettino return

The Independent have claimed that some figures at Tottenham are suggesting that it could be worth trying to bring Mauricio Pochettino back to North London this summer.

There is said to be a feeling that the Argentine has found the nature of the Paris Saint-Germain job to be more of a headache to manage than anticipated and could be receptive of a return to his former club.

It is said that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is also looking to make an appointment that would excite the fan base and act as a gesture to please unhappy supporters following a disappointing season.

However, it is suggested that even the potential return of Pochettino would not convince Harry Kane to change his mind, with the striker desperate to leave ahead of next season.

The 49-year-old has previously admitted that he wants to return to Tottenham in the future as manager, claiming to have ‘unfinished business’ and wants to deliver silverware for the fans (BT Sport).

Pochettino’s PSG side finished second in the Ligue 1 table yesterday; a single point behind Lille.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not see Pochettino quitting less than six months into his job at PSG. He is not the sort of person to shirk a challenge and I believe he will give it another season even if he is not completely happy in Paris.

Despite the fact that PSG have fallen short in their pursuit of the Ligue 1 title, I believe the club will give Pochettino one full season. I also do not see the 49-year-old being sacked, as some pundits have suggested.
