A report from the Telegraph has revealed that some Spurs players now feel ‘stifled’ by Jose Mourinho’s playing style this season.

The North London side recorded their third straight Premier League defeat last night as they sank to a 1-0 loss at home to Chelsea.

The report claims that Mourinho remains a popular figure in the dressing room among the majority of the Spurs squad. However, it adds that even some of those who like him are no longer happy with the way in which the club are playing.

Despite this, the Telegraph claim that Mourinho’s job is not yet in imminent danger, although that could change if Spurs lose to West Brom this weekend.

Tottenham currently find themselves eighth in the Premier League, although they remain in all three cup competitions, the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League.

It is said that, due to Tottenham’s history of trying to play entertaining football, Mourinho will not get away with dangling the promise of a trophy forever.
