Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Ivan Perisic is expected to leave Hajduk Split, just months after signing for the club from Tottenham Hotspur.

Ivan Perisic only left Tottenham in January

Perisic arrived at Spurs on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 after his contract at Inter Milan ran out and the wing-back failed to set the world alight in his first season at the club, although he did deliver some classy assists.

The Croat had a promising start to last season under Ange Postecoglou but he picked up a anterior cruciate ligament injury in September of last year, following which he never wore the Tottenham shirt again.

The 35-year-old initially joined Hajduk Split on loan in January before it was confirmed at the start of June by Spurs that he had departed the club after his contract ran.

Ivan Perisic is on the move yet again

Perisic played in the Euros for Croatia over the summer but it proved to be a disappointing tournament for the eastern European side, who were eliminated in the group stages.

Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that the former Tottenham man is ready to leave Hajduk in the final weeks of the transfer window and is looking for a new club.

He tweeted: ‘Ivan Perisić, available on the market as he’s set to leave Hajduk Split in the final weeks of the transfer window.’

Spurs Web Opinion

Perisic might have moved to Hajduk with the sole intention of getting match fit and making the Croatian squad for the Euros.

It now looks like the experienced wing-back might be looking for a final swansong at a top European side.
