SPORT have reported that Jordi Cruyff, son of the footballing legend Johan Cruyff, rejected the chance to become Tottenham’s new Sporting Director.

Spurs allegedly sounded out Cruyff about the vacant position but he prefers a move back into coaching rather than a sporting director position.

Cruyff reportedly thanked Tottenham for their interest after the North London club outlined their plans to him, but communicated that he had no desire to take the job.

Tottenham are still on the hunt for Paratici successor

The position in N17 has been vacant since Fabio Paratici stepped down earlier this year following his FIFA suspension for his alleged role in the Juventus scandal.

Since then, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Spurs considered Tim Steidten, Lee Dykes, and Mateu Alemany, but none of these have since come to fruition.

However, Scott Munn is set to finally start as Tottenham’s new Chief Football Officer this month and his first job will be hiring the next Managing Director of Football (Football London).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I actually think Spurs may already have their next managing director of football set up and ready to go, and were just waiting for Scott Munn to officially start before moving ahead with the process.
