Report: Sources close to club believe Spurs could land Brazilian international this summer

Some sources close to Everton believe that Tottenham Hotspur could complete a deal to sign Richarlison this summer, according to The Athletic.

The Toffees value the Brazilian international in excess of €60 million (£51 million), with some close to the club believing that they are unlikely to achieve such a high fee during the summer transfer window.

Spurs are not said to have tabled an offer for the forward as of yet and are only prepared to make their move when they feel their valuation of the player is aligned with what Everton are prepared to accept.

The Goodison Park outfit need to generate funds this summer, with a feeling that a significant sale may happen in order for the club to improve their Financial Fair Play position while also generating funds for manager Frank Lampard to improve his squad after they narrowly avoided relegation.

While there is interest in the 25-year-old, he is among a number of options that Spurs are considering this summer with Antonio Conte looking to reshape his playing personnel in being able to compete for silverware.

Richarlison managed 10 Premier League goals in 30 appearances this season in a struggling Everton side which is a respectable return, however, Spurs need to improve their creativity in order for a player such as the Brazilian to flourish.

Fabio Paratici must have his eye firmly focused on a creative midfielder and there is no better option from a cost and experience perspective than Christian Eriksen, who can unlock a defence with one pass to allow those further forward to benefit.
