Report: Sources close to Luis Campos and Mourinho say Lille man is set to join Spurs

Reports from Portugal have now revealed that Lille Sporting Director, Luis Campos, is set to join Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.

Yesterday, reports from France claimed that Campos had informed Lille president, Gerard Lopez, of his desire to leave the club (RMC SPORT).

The Lille man is known to be good friends with Jose Mourinho and has supposedly been on the radar of Tottenham for several months (Sky Sports).

Canal + were the first to reveal that the 53-year-old was Spurs bound yesterday.

However, Portuguese outlet RTP have now stated that sources close to both Campos and Mourinho have confirmed that the Portuguese director is on his way to North London.

Sport Witness reveals that RTP is a public service broadcasting organisation, and generally do not report any football rumours unless they are pretty certain of what is happening.

Spurs Web Opinion

Campos will be an unbelievable coup for us and potentially the biggest signing we can make this summer. His track record of finding young talents over the past five or six years is exemplary. His knowledge of the French and Portuguese market will come in extremely handy especially given that we do not have much money to spend this summer.
