Report: Southampton could make move for Spurs-linked centre-forward

According to The Sun, Southampton are interested in VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, who is also rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Reports over recent weeks have indicated that Antonio Conte wants to bring a big-name striker to Spurs this summer (The Mirror).

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Gabriel Jesus, Darwin Nunez, Alexander Isak, Victor Osimhen, and Patrick Schick are all of interest to the North London club.

According to reports in Germany, Kalajdzic is another option that interests Tottenham ahead of the summer transfer window (Kicker).

The 24-year-old is also alleged to be on the radars of Bayern Munich and Benfica and is said to be valued at around £21m (The Athletic).

The Sun have now revealed that Spurs could face competition from within the Premier League for Kalajdzic, with Southampton eyeing a move for the Serbian.

The report reveals that Shane Long is expected to leave the South Coast this summer and, with Theo Walcott and Moussa Djenepo also potentially on their way out, the Saints could make a move for the Stuttgart star.

Spurs Web Opinion

I think Kalajdzic would be a much more realistic target for Spurs than the likes of Isak, Nunez, or Osimhen as the Serbian is more likely to accept a bit-part role.

However, the likes of Southampton would probably have an advantage over us as they can offer the Stuttgart star regular first-team football.
