Report: Spain boss provides update on Sergio Reguilon after recent knock

Tottenham fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Spain manager Luis Enrique has confirmed that the Sergio Reguilon has fully recovered from the knock he picked up against Portugal on Wednesday (as relayed by Alasdair Gold).

Reguilon has made a fantastic start to his Spurs career after the left-back put in a fine debut performance last week to help Spurs see off Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on penalties.

The 23-year-old was handed his Premier League debut against Manchester United last Sunday and that could not have gone much better for him than it did, with the away side running out 6-1 victors.

On the back of his showings so far, some Spurs fans are understandably excited at what the left-back can bring to the side.

Reguilon started for Spain in their international friendly against Portugal on Wednesday but was withdrawn at half-time, with Enrique confirming after the game that he had picked up a knock (EFE).

However, the Spain boss has now admitted that it is nothing serious and that the Spurs defender is available for their Nations League clash against Switzerland tomorrow.

Hopefully, Reguilon does not play in Spain’s next two Nation League games and Jose Gaya comes back into the side. With Davies likely to play both games for Wales, we need Reguilon to come back fresh for the game against West Ham.
