Report: Spanish attacker is ‘affordable’ for Spurs and Liverpool – He is ‘tempted’ by a PL move

Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams has been linked with a move to the Premier League, and it is thought the Spaniard is reportedly ‘tempted’ by the idea of a switch to Spurs, Liverpool, or Aston Villa.

It is well known that Tottenham are looking to sign a new wide player in the summer, with a number of names linked to the Lilywhites ahead of the next transfer window.

Nico Williams may have just won the Copa del Rey with Athletic Bilbao, but he is widely speculated to leave the club in the near future.

The 21-year-old has six goals and 14 assists this season in 30 appearances for the La Liga side (Transfermarkt).

But, it seems the Premier League beckons for the promising attacker. It is thought Spurs have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in following Williams of late (Mirror).

Sport Lens added Aston Villa to that list, while GiveMeSport claim Williams himself is open to the idea of leaving his boyhood club.

Premier League clubs can afford Nico Williams

The latest update comes from Spanish outlet AS (via Sport Witness), with the suggestion that Premier League clubs such as Spurs, Liverpool, and Villa have the financial power to bring Williams to England this summer.

Apparently, the clubs have “tempted him in recent months,” and the young winger is very much “affordable” for teams like Tottenham.

Despite a release clause of €55m (£47m), Williams continues to “attract larger audiences” and clubs from the Premier League are unlikely to be deterred.

Spurs Web Opinion

Nico Williams is a top talent and is only going to get better and better. I’d love for us to sign him, but the race to secure his signature will be intense, to say the least. I reckon we can beat Villa to the move, but Liverpool will be a really tough one to get the better of in this pursuit.
