Report: Spanish club have made two offers to sign Spurs star on loan

Multiple sources are now reporting that Valencia are keen on signing Harry Winks on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has found playing time hard to come by so far this season, with Jose Mourinho often preferring a midfield pairing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko.

However, Winks seems to have forced himself back into the Tottenham boss’ plans, having started the Lilywhites’ last two Premier League games against Wolves and Leeds.

AS reported last week that Valencia are keen on signing the England international on a temporary deal.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has now confirmed the same on social media, revealing that the La Liga side have made two loan offers for Winks, and added that the player is not wanted by Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports report that Tottenham have no intention of letting the midfielder leave despite the Spanish club being ‘very interested’ in signing him.

It is ridiculous of Balague to suggest that Winks is not wanted by Mourinho. Not only has he started the last two Premier League games but the Spurs boss has made it clear that the midfielder is not going anywhere. Given that we are still competing in all four fronts, there is no chance that the club would weaken themselves by letting Winks leave this month.
