Report: Sporting Director wanted by Spurs eyeing Premier League move

Sky Sports have revealed that Luis Campos, who Tottenham reportedly want to appoint as a Sporting Director, is eyeing a move to the Premier League.

Campos, who is credited with helping unearth the likes of Kylian Mbappe, James Rodriguez, Anthony Martial, Fabinho, Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy, has been out of work since parting ways with Lille in the summer.

However, he certainly deserves a lot of credit for the fact that Lille look on course to pip Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 title as he helped the French club pick up several amazing talents on cut-price deals while also continuously helping to make a profit on players.

Previous reports claimed that Daniel Levy was kept on appointing Campos as Tottenham’s Sporting Director on the back of his exploits at Lille.

Sky Sports now reveal that the 56-year-old is ready for his next adventure and is looking to join as Sporting Director at a top Premier League club.

The report does not mention Spurs as a contender for the former Lille man’s signature, with Juventus and Manchester United named as the front-runners.

Spurs Web Opinion

The main reason we were linked heavily with Campos was because of the strong relationship he had with his compatriot Jose Mourinho. Now that Mourinho has been sacked, it remains to be seen if we would be able to attract the 56-year-old.
