Report: Spurs’ £10m man could be set for January switch

According to a report by Sporting Life (as relayed by Nottingham Post), Nottingham Forest are interested in taking Spurs summer signing Jack Clarke on loan for the second half of the season.

Clarke was loaned back to Leeds United after Spurs signed him from the Elland Road outfit in the summer but he has found playing time hard to come by. In fact, the youngster has only made two first team appearances to date this season with both coming in the Carabao Cup (transfermarkt.com).

Spurs have the option to recall the £10million signing (Standard) from his loan spell in the New Year (Football London).

The Championship club who are chasing promotion are said to be keen to add another winger to the squad when the window opens and the pacey Spurs youngster is reported to be one of their primary targets.

In hindsight, the decision to loan Clarke back to Leeds was a poor decision as it has meant that six months have been wasted in his development. Given how Nottingham like to get their wingers wide and get crosses into the box, a move to the Reds will certainly suit Clarke.
