Report: Spurs’ £10m signing will ‘undoubtedly’ spend time away from the club next season

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jack Clarke will ‘undoubtedly’ spend time away from the club on loan next season, according to Football.London.

Clarke remained in North London at the beginning of the season and made three appearances for Jose Mourinho’s first team in the Europa League and FA Cup (transfermarkt) before linking up with Stoke City.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a productive spell at the Championship outfit having made 14 appearances and providing two assists before his stint was cut short.

Clarke suffered ankle ligament damage at the Potters and was ruled out of action for the remainder of the season, with the Spurs medical staff set to meet the former Leeds man to discuss a rehabilitation programme to ensure he is ready for next season (Football Insider).
