Tottenham Hotspur have always put faith in their academy down the years, particularly under recent managers such as Mauricio Pochettino, Tim Sherwood, and AVB.
This has seen the likes of Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Andros Townsend, Jake Livermore, Tommy Carroll, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb, Oliver Skipp, and Troy Parrott come through the ranks.
Kane and Winks are still first-team Spurs players, while a number of the others have gone on to forge Premier League careers elsewhere.
Some worried that the appointment of Jose Mourinho would mark an end to the flow of youth players coming into the first-team squad.
However, the Special One has been eager to assure fans that he is excited to work with the youth system in North London (Mirror).
Perhaps at the front of the queue at Spurs in the present are the likes of Skipp, Parrott, and Japhet Tanganga.
However, it is another up-and-coming name who has signed a deal with the club this week, as Malachi Fagan-Walcott put pen to paper on his first professional contract at age 17.
The centre-back has played in PL2 twice this season after being called up to the U18 side back in 2017/18. He also played in every single UEFA Youth League game this season.
