Report: Spurs academy graduate may move to Germany after Pochettino freeze out

Tottenham Hotspur revealed their 2019/20 pre-season tour squad earlier today and while there were some high-profile emissions in the form of Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier, and more, some Spurs youngsters also missed out.

Spurs academy graduate, Josh Onomah, is said to have been frozen out by Pochettino and dumped down into the under-23 squad (Sun).

The 22-year old spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday but only managed 15 appearances due to injury.

The Sun claim that Onomah has been left stunned by Pochettino’s decision and may now make a move to Germany this summer.

Borussia Monchengladbach, Mainz, Augsburg and Frankfurt are all said to be interested in taking the Spurs midfielder, although it is not clear whether he would leave on loan or a permanent deal.

Although the Sun claim Onomah is valued at £10m, TransferMrket list his valuation at just £2.7m this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I believe that Onomah has had his chances at Tottenham and out on loan, but he has not shown enough effort and desire to make it at such a high level. I wish him all the best, but I just don’t see this player’s future in a Lilywhite shirt.
