Report: Spurs accept four players might not leave until close to deadline day

The Tottenham hierarchy accept that they might not be able to offload Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon until the final days of the transfer window, according to The Evening Standard.

All four of the aforementioned players have been frozen out of the first-team picture since reporting for pre-season in the summer.

The Sun reported yesterday that Spurs have been unsuccessful in their attempts to find buyers for the quartet and the North London club may have no choice but to loan them out.

The Evening Standard have now revealed that Winks, Ndombele, Reguilon, and Lo Celso are continuing to train individually after being informed that Antonio Conte and his coaching staff can only work with a certain number of players.

The report adds that there is an ‘acceptance’ among the Tottenham hierarchy that the future of Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks and Reguilon are unlikely to be resolved until the final week of the transfer window or even deadline day.

Tottenham would expect offers from Premier League clubs for the likes of Harry Winks and Japhet Tanganga in the final couple of weeks of the transfer window.

However, the club might have to loan out Lo Celso, Ndombele and Reguilon as it does not seem like many Spanish or Italian clubs can afford to pay a transfer fee for those players.
