Tottenham Hotspur have reached a deal for Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso according to reports.
In an article for the Daily Record, Duncan Castles has claimed that Spurs have struck an agreement to pay the La Liga side for an initial €52million with another €8million dependent on performance related bonuses.
Spurs have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old even before they took to the field to face Liverpool in the Champions League final on June 1st (BBC).
Lo Celso is currently in Morocco with the Betis squad where he started on the bench for their pre-season friendly against Raja Club Athletic.
The Argentine only completed a move to Betis towards the end of last season after a successful loan spell from PSG.
The French giants are entitled to 20 per cent of the future transfer fee, while another of his former clubs Rosario will pocket 3 per cent (The Sun).
If Spurs are to land Lo Celso, it would certainly help to alleviate the uncertainty surrounding Christian Eriksen’s future at the club this month.
