It looks as though Daniel Levy has delivered once again on transfer deadline day, with The Daily Telegraph’s Mike McGrath reporting that Tottenham have agreed a fee with Swansea City for Joe Rodon.
There has been plenty of speculation regarding Tottenham’s pursuit of Rodon but Football.London’s Alasdair Gold insisted on Thursday that the two clubs were still some way apart in their valuations of the defender.
However, things seemed to suddenly fall into place just hours before the 5 pm transfer deadline.
Journalist Graeme Bailey took to social media to reveal that Swansea had snapped up Wolves centre-back Ryan Bennet as Rodon’s replacement and revealed that the Wales international was edging closer to a move to North London.
It now looks to be a case of whether Spurs can get the paperwork over the line in time, with McGrath revealing that the North Londoners have been able to agree on a transfer fee for Rodon with the Swans.
