Report: Spurs alerted to availability of £27m midfield man

Tottenham Hotspur have not been active in the transfer market in 16 months when it comes to bringing new players in, but they have made a sale in that time.

First team regular Mousa Dembele was sold back in January 2019, despite being a favourite for manager Pochettino over the past five years.

Spurs have yet to replace the Belgian powerhouse, but have reportedly now been alerted to the potential availability of Franck Kessie (Football Italia).

The centre mid spent the last two seasons on loan at AC Milan from Atlanta, but Milan had an obligation to buy him at the end of this season.

However, despite just securing his signature, AC are said to be willing to listen to any offers over £27m for the 22-year-old.

Tottenham and Arsenal are both said to be monitoring the situation, although Spurs would surely edge the battle as they can boast Champions League football for next season.

Spurs Web Opinion:

AC Milan are not a small club, so I would be slightly suspicious if they are willing to sell this guy on just after they bought him. Perhaps one that I would rather stay away from. I would much rather put all our eggs in the Tanguy Ndombele basket.
