Report: Spurs among five Premier League clubs to submit offers for Raphinha

Tottenham are one of five Premier League clubs to have made an offer to sign Leeds winger Raphinha, according to Sport.

Spurs have been busy in the transfer window thus far and are expected to continue adding to Antonio Conte’s squad as the countdown to the new season continues (Telegraph).

The Athletic revealed last week that Spurs have joined the pursuit for Raphinha having identified the 25-year-old as an alternative target to Everton forward Richarlison.

But the Brazil international, who scored 11 goals last season (Transfermarkt) to preserve Leeds’ status in the Premier League, has also been attracting plenty of attention from across the division.

Spanish outlet Sport has claimed all of Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are keeping an eye on Raphinha and have all made offers to acquire him this summer.

However, the report claims Raphinha’s agent – former Chelsea midfielder Deco – is keen to secure his client a move to Barcelona in spite of the strong interest in England.

But it is added that the Blaugrana are set to have difficulty competing with the offers from the respective Premier League sides, with Leeds requesting up to €65 million (£55.8m) to consider a transfer.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Raphinha does end up leaving Leeds this summer, the club that will acquire him will be adding a quality attacking threat from out wide.

It is quite a big price tag but that is a given seeing how well he has done for them and the fact that so many Premier League clubs are after him shows that.
