Report: Spurs and Arsenal are both monitoring talented 23-year-old forward

Tottenham and Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Wolfsburg forward Omar Marmoush ahead of the summer, according to Bild.

Marmoush has been enjoying a positive spell on loan at Stuttgart despite the club’s struggles down near the foot of the Bundesliga table.

The 23-year-old’s displays this term have placed him front and centre for a potential step-up this summer, with Bild reporting interest from the Premier League.

The German publication states rivals Spurs and Arsenal have identified Marmoush as a potential option to bolster their respective squads at the conclusion of the campaign.

However, Wolfsburg are said to be happy with the Egypt international’s progress and intend on keeping him in their squad in the long run.

Marmoush will have just one year remaining on his contract at the Volkswagen Arena upon the conclusion of his loan with Stuttgart, where he has tallied three goals and four assists (Transfermarkt).

With Harry Kane around, Spurs have struggled to find a striker good enough to at least serve as an adequate back-up to him either if he is injured or needs a rest.

If they believe Marmoush is that, then they should look to swoop to avoid losing their intended target this summer.
