Report: Spurs and Arsenal battling for Raphinha with Barcelona struggling to meet price

The Athletic have reported that Tottenham and Arsenal are both interested in signing Leeds United winger, Raphinha, this summer.

Barcelona reportedly have concerns they will be unable to meet Leeds’ price, while Chelsea are understood to be interested but may prioritise a free transfer of Ousmane Dembele.

Raphinha, who scored 11 and assisted three in the Premier League for Leeds last season, has just two years left to run on his contract (TransferMarkt).

As such, Leeds are reportedly willing to part ways with the Brazilian star, but only if their valuation is met – although The Athletic do not mention a price tag. It is said the Premier League side do not want to stand in the way of Raphinha’s ambitions.

Tottenham have been linked with plenty of Brazilian forwards so far this summer, with Gabriel Jesus from Man City (The Telegraph) and Richarlison from Everton (Athletic) both also said to be options.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Raphinha would be my top choice of these three targets this summer, then I would purchase more of a plan B type striker to supplement Kane, similar to how Fernando Llorente used to. Raphinha is too good a talent to pass up on if he is gettable.
