Report: Spurs and Arsenal interested in bringing AC Milan star to the Premier League

According to a report from CalcioMercato, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in snapping up AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie and face competition for his signature from North London rivals, Arsenal.

Milan have started the season on fire as they are currently five points clear at the top of the Serie A table with 10 matches played.

Kessie’s brilliant form has been one of the main reasons behind the club’s impressive showing as the Ivorian has helped the Stefano Pioli side to consistently win midfield battles.

Kessie is a long-term target for Tottenham, having reportedly been on the Lilywhites’ radar back in the summer of 2019 (The Express).

CalcioMercato now reveal that Spurs and Arsenal are both eyeing a move for the midfielder, who is thought to possess the perfect attributes to succeed in the Premier League.

Additionally, Antonio Conte is also said to be a big admirer of the former Atalanta man.

The 23-year-old’s current deal at the San Siro runs till 2022 and it revealed that Milan are keen to tie him down to a new contract.

The report asserts that even an offer of around €40-€50m (£36m- £45m) might not be enough to tempt the Rossoneri to part ways with Kessie.
