Report: Spurs and Arsenal keen on Premier League striker with 22 goals this season

Tottenham Hotspur have struggled for goals this season, especially since the turn of the new decade after Harry Kane picked up a long term injury on New Years Day.

The England captain has not been seen since and matters were made worse for Mourinho when Heung-min Son fractured his arm last month.

Spurs failed to bring in a replacement striker in the January transfer window, with the Son injury making them pay for that mistake.

ESPN now report that the Lilywhites, along with Arsenal, are looking at Wolves striker Raul Jiminez as a summer option. It is said that Wolves may consider such a transfer, with the striker now being 28-years-old.

Jiminez has been on hot form again for Wolves this season, netting 13 Premier League goals and recording six assists in 29 games in the push for Champions League football.

In all competitions, Jiminez has 22 goals and ten assists in just 43 games (TransferMarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would prefer someone younger and with a plan B aspect to their game. Let’s be honest, unless Mourinho changes to a two-up-front system, this new striker won’t be playing every week. I would prefer to spend £20m on Vedat Muriqi and spend bigger on defenders this summer.
