Report: Spurs and Arsenal set to table big £60m offers for 21-year-old

CalcioMercato have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both set to table big offers for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic in January.

Over the past few weeks, there have been new updates from the Italian media regarding Vlahovic’s future almost on an everyday basis.

Gianluca Di Marzio revealed earlier this week that Arsenal were the only Premier League club who have tried to snap up the Serbian international in January.

However, the journalist also revealed that the striker had no interest in moving to the Emirates and stated that Spurs, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are all expected to pursue him next summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have already made an opening offer for the 21-year-old, which was thought to be around €50m (£42.3m).

However, if CalcioMercato’s latest update is to be believed, the Old Lady are not likely to be in a position to compete financially with the two North London clubs for Vlahovic.

The report states that offers of ‘no less than’ €70m (£59.5m) ‘will arrive’ from both Spurs and Arsenal for the centre-forward in January.

Spurs Web Opinion

While I can see how Vlahovic can play alongside Kane if Conte shifts to a 3-5-2, I do not quite understand how the Serbian would fit into a front three along with Kane and Son. I would be surprised if we spent big money on Vlahovic in January unless Spurs potentially fear losing Kane in the summer.
