Report: Spurs and Arsenal stand better chance of signing 22-year-old after recent defeat

HITC have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of landing Crysencio Summerville have now improved after Leeds United failed to win promotion to the Premier League.

Summerville has been one of the best players across the Championship this season, with the skilful winger scoring 21 times and providing 10 assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

However, the winger and his teammates could not deliver in the playoff final at Wembley on Sunday, with Southampton emerging 1-0 winners and sealing their spot in next season’s Premier League at Leeds’ expense.

It had previously been reported by CalcioMercato (via Sport.fr) that the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle were circling over Summerville.

The outlet claimed that Daniel Farke’s men had put a price tag of €45m (£38.7m) on the player’s head to ward off the interest in the Dutchman.

Tottenham and Arsenal both like Summerville

HITC have now also backed up Tottenham’s interest in Summerville and they reveal that the player is also on the radar of their fierce rivals Arsenal.

The report says that both the North London sides have checked out on the Leeds star over recent months.

The publication asserts their pursuit of the Netherlands Under-21 international has been ‘boosted’ after Sunday’s results but they do not specify the fee that Leeds want for the attacker.

Leeds will need to raise some cash after missing out on the significant financial boost that would have accompanied promotion to the top flight.

Perhaps Tottenham can use Joe Rodon as a bargaining chip in their efforts to prise away Summerville from Elland Road.
