Report: Spurs and Arsenal tracking highly-rated striker with 17 goals this season

GOAL have reported that Tottenham, Arsenal and Real Madrid are all tracking teenage talent Roko Simic as he enjoys a potent goalscoring season for Red Bull Salzburg.

Looking to follow in the footsteps of Erling Haaland, who made the move from RB Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund, Simic has 17 goals in 26 matches across all competitions and age groups this season (TransferMarkt).

The 18-year-old joined Salzburg in 2021 after becoming Lokomotiva Zagreb’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the previous season.

Tottenham have a rich pool of striking talent in the academy at the moment, with Troy Parrott, Dane Scarlett, and Kion Etete all thriving in their respective campaigns. However, the Lilywhites are allegedly still keeping an eye on Simic as a potential star for the future.

GOAL claim that Simic recently signed a new four-year deal with RB Salzburg after he broke into the senior first team.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I suspect this is not a signing Spurs will push for this summer. 18-year-old strikers are just not worth the money for Tottenham when they have three of similar age coming through the ranks. It would be best to spend the money elsewhere and give Parrott, Scarlett, and Etete a clean route into the first team.
