Report: Spurs and Chelsea scouts sent to watch this Roma midfielder today

Tottenham Hotspur are light in midfield at the moment after the long-term injury to first-team star Moussa Sissoko, who underwent surgery on his knee this week.

Tanguy Ndombele is also currently out injured, while Victor Wanyama is out of favour and Christian Eriksen looks to be leaving the club in the next six months.

In light of this, a report has now claimed that both Chelsea and Tottenham have sent scouts to watch Roma vs Juventus today in Italy (TuttotMercatoWeb).

It is said that both clubs will be at the Stadio Olimpico to take a look at Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara, the 22-year-old Guinea international.

Diawara only joined Roma this season from Napoli but has been a regular throughout this season for Paulo Fonseca.

Jose Mourinho is yet to make a signing as the new Spurs head coach, despite ticking towards the half-way point in the January transfer window, could Diawara be his man?
