Report: Spurs and Chelsea to be offered £50m Real Madrid goalscorer

Last summer, Real Madrid invested in a big-money move for promising young striker, Luka Jovic, reportedly paying in excess of £50m for the player (Independent).

This move came off the back of a superb season with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, with Jovic scoring 27 goals in 48 games for the German side (Wikipedia).

However, since his move to Madrid, Jovic has struggled in front of goal, scoring just twice in 24 appearances for Los Blancos.

Tottenham Hotspur have struggled in the striker department this season, ever since the injury to Harry Kane at the start of the new year.

Kane represents the club’s only natural striker option within the senior squad, which wasn’t helped by the fact that Heung-min Son and Steven Bergwijn both also picked up injuries.

It has now been reported that Chelsea and Spurs are to be offered Luka Jovic following an argument the Serbian has had with his current club over self-isolation (Mirror).

The Real Madrid players were supposed to be isolated this month, but Jovic chose to break his by leaving to fly home to Serbia.
