Report: Spurs and Everton among the clubs linked with Serie A forward

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Torino forward Andrea Belotti, along with West Ham United and Everton, according to Corriere Granada.

The report claims that the Serie A side are keen to reward the 27-year-old who is out of contract in the summer of 2022 with a pay rise to ensure he extends his deal for a further two years with the option of a third.

If Belotti puts pen to paper on a new contract in Turin, he can expect to earn around £50,000 a week, however, the report suggests that the likes of Spurs are able to offer the forward a higher wage.

The striker is wary about swapping his role as star forward at Torino to become a bit-part player with a bigger club.

Belotti has had an impressive campaign for Torino, having scored eleven goals in 27 appearances in all competitions while also providing six assists (transfermarkt).

As we have seen in the past, it is difficult for Spurs to recruit a forward given the fact that they would have to play second fiddle to Harry Kane.

Spurs fans will be hoping that they still have this dilemma to face for many years to come, rather than lose the England striker in the summer.
