Report: Spurs and Everton eye up 16-goal midfielder

Many Tottenham Hotspur fans are hoping and anticipating that this summer will be a very active one in the transfer market after two windows of inactivity.

Mauricio Pochettino has himself stated his desire for Tottenham to reach the next level that they need to operate in a different way to try and compete for trophies (talkSPORT).

A host of names will be linked with a move to N17 between now and Thursday, August 8th, 2019 when the window will slam shut.

The latest player who is said to be on the radar of Tottenham is Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso.

The Sun are reporting that both Spurs and Everton are keen to land the 23-year-old midfielder.

Lo Celso only recently completed a permanent deal to the La Liga outfit worth 25 million Euros having originally joined them on loan last August from PSG (Marca).

He began his career with boyhood club Rosario Central in his native Argentina before making the move to Paris in the summer of 2016.

The report claims that Betis could be tempted to cash in on the player if they can double their investment.

Spurs Web’s Opinion

Lo Celso has scored 16 goals in 44 appearances for his club this season and would certainly be an asset in North London if he could get anywhere near his current goal tally (WhoScored).

Spurs are desperate for creative flair and someone who can help shoulder the goalscoring burden with Harry Kane.
