Report: Spurs and Everton have set their sights on £17m-rated centre-back

According to TuttoUdinese, Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Udinese central defender Rodrigo Becao this summer.

Tottenham are reportedly in the market for two centre-backs this summer, with a couple of names from the Serie A, including Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni and Torino’s Gleison Bremer, thought to be on the club’s wishlist (Football.London).

If TuttoUdinese’s latest update is to be believed, another centre-back from the Italian top flight in the form of Becao is also in Spurs’ sights.

The Brazilian, who has been a mainstay in the Udinese backline for the last three seasons, can play on both sides of central defence despite being right-footed.

The report claims that his performances at the Dacia Arena last season caught the attention of several clubs including Tottenham and Everton.

It is asserted that Becao is one of the players who could depart Udinese this summer, with the Serie A club said to value the defender at around €20m (£17m).

Bastoni seems to be Conte’s preferred target for the left centre-back role. However, I would not be surprised if we signed a slightly lesser known option like Becao as our other centre-back this summer to replace the likes of Rodon and Sanchez, who could be on their way out of the club in search of regular game time.
