Report: Spurs and Everton keen on French international defender

Tottenham Hotspur may have received a boost in their rumoured interest in Kurt Zouma with reports indicating the Chelsea defender is a fan of Jose Mourinho’s methodologies.

Mourinho reportedly wants to bring Zouma to North London to replace Jan Vertonghen, with RMC Sport suggesting that the Spurs head coach has asked the club to make an offer for the defender.

There have been suggestions that Chelsea would be willing to let the 25-year-old leave for just £25million this summer as the Blues are keen to balance the books (Mirror).

L’Equipe (as relayed by Sport Witness) claim that the former Everton loanee would like to remain in the Premier League if he were to leave Chelsea.

The report suggests that Zouma never lost touch with Mourinho since the Portuguese departed Chelsea.

It is also suggested that Everton are also said to be ready to challenge Spurs for the central defender’s signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

I can see why we would be interested in Zouma, especially if he is available for just £25million. At that price, it could potentially be a great deal for us. However, Chelsea have shown time and again that they do not like dealing with us.
