Report: Spurs and Liverpool are both interested in relegated American player

90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Tyler Adams after Leeds United’s three-year stay in the Premier League came to an end last weekend.

It was Spurs who consigned Leeds to relegation with a 4-1 win at Elland Road on the final day of the season and it has been suggested that the North London club could now poach one of their gems in Adams.

The defensive midfielder has impressed in his first season in England following his switch from RB Leipzig last summer and his stock remains high even though he missed Leeds’ final 12 games of the season due to injury.

90 min claim that Tottenham are one of the clubs contemplating a move for Adams, who is also said to be of interest to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.

In addition, the USA international is also thought to be on the radar of clubs in Germany, Italy and Spain but it is explained that the big fee that Leeds would demand for the 24-year-old makes it likely that he will move to a Premier League side.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that Tottenham need reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer, particularly if Rodrigo Bentancur misses the first few months of next season.

However, one would hope that the club would pursue a higher calibre of player than Adams. The likes of Ruben Neves and Joao Palhinha are seemingly on the market this summer.
