Report: Spurs and Liverpool are both interested in the same centre-back

Football Insider have revealed that an increasing number of clubs outside England are now considering a move for Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo, who is on Tottenham’s radar.

Adarabioyo’s current deal at Craven Cottage runs out in June and with the defender potentially available on a free transfer, the speculation over his future continues to run rife.

Football Insider mention that Spurs have been long-term admirers of the 26-year-old, having failed with a move for him last summer, with the North London club continuing to keep tabs on the player’s situation.

Competition intensifying for Tosin Adarabioyo

The report says that Spurs’ main competitors within the Premier League for Adarabioyo are Liverpool, who are said to be keen on adding defensive reinforcements and have allegedly set their sights on the Fulham man.

It is explained that Monaco are also exploring a move for the Englishman, with the Ligue 1 club, like Spurs, also failing with a move for the defender in the summer of 2023.

The interest in Adrabioyo does not end there, with the publication adding that a host of Serie A sides are now also eyeing a move for the centre-back.

Spurs Web Opinion

Foreign clubs would have an advantage over Spurs and Liverpool as they can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with Adarabioyo. I am not convinced the 26-year-old would want to come to Tottenham as he would be aware that his opportunities would be quite limited in North London.
