Report: Spurs and Liverpool among a number of clubs linked with 18 goals in 11 games striker

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are said to be in a race to sign Erling Braut Haaland in 2020 after the teenage sensation has made a blistering start to the new season (Daily Star).

In just 11 games across all competitions so far this season, Haaland has managed a whopping 18 goals and five assists. That works out at more than two goal involvements per game! (Transfer Markt).

The 19-year-old is apparently catching the eye of many top European clubs, including Spurs, Liverpool, Man United, and Juventus, who will be looking to compete for his signature in the next two transfer windows.

Haaland stands at 6ft4, which could provide Pochettino with the back-up target man he has been missing since Fernando Llorente left, but this time with some extra youth and hunger.

Tottenham currently have just one senior striker at the club in Harry Kane, so there is certainly room in their squad for another, even if young Troy Parrott makes a step up too.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This transfer is an absolute must in the next six months before Haaland’s valuation rises to a point above Tottenham’s reach. Spurs need another striker, they need a target man, and they need youth. Haaland is it.
