In a potential boost to Tottenham in their rumoured pursuit of Kim Min-jae, RMC Sport have now claimed that Paris Saint-Germain have ended their interest in the Napoli centre-back.
Kim Min-jae appears set to be one of the hottest properties in Europe this summer on the back of his flawless first season in Serie A, which played a major part in Napoli‘s historic Scudetto triumph.
The 26-year-old, who has been nicknamed ‘the monster’ for his strength and ability to win duals, looks made for the Premier League, which is why, unsurprisingly, a whole of English clubs appears to be interested in the defender.
90 min claimed last month that Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool were all vying for the South Korean’s signature this summer.
Over the last couple of weeks, reports have indicated that Kim had also emerged as a target for PSG, with the Parisians alleged to have identified him as the ideal option to bolster their backline (Football Italia).
However, if RMC Sport’s latest update is to be believed, PSG have now withdrawn from the race to sign the centre-back, with the Ligue 1 giants allegedly finding the player to be ‘too expensive’.
The report asserts that on the back of the decision from the French club, Kim is now bound for the Premier League this summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is pretty clear that Kim is going to end up in the Premier League this summer but I do not think Spurs have a realistic chance of winning the race for him, given that we do not have any European football to offer. I expect the 26-year-old to end up at Old Trafford.
