Report: Spurs and Man Utd to compete for pacey French full back

France Football (as translated by Sport Witness) claim that Tottenham and Manchester United both retain an interest in Paris Saint-Germain full-back Layvin Kurzawa, while Atletico Madrid are also said to be monitoring the situation.

The full-back areas are reportedly one of Pochettino’s priorities to address this summer (Football.London), with Danny Rose even revealing that he is unsure if he will stay at the club next season due to Spurs’ policy of selling players when they reach a certain age.

Kurzawa endured a frustrating 18/19 season with the French champions, having been restricted to just 12 appearances in all competitions but he did get a run in the side towards the end of the season.

The report indicates that the 26-year-old wants to stay at the French capital and prove himself under Thomas Tuchel. However, his contact with PSG runs out in the summer of 2020 and as a result the club will either have to allow him to leave or offer him a new contract this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs have been linked with Kurzawa for a few years now and so it’s possible that there is some truth in this link. While Kurzawa was a fantastic prospect a few years ago, he has failed to live up to expectations in the last few seasons.

We believe there are better options the club can go for if DannyRose does end up leaving this summer.
