90 min have now claimed that Tim Steidten, who is rumoured to be a candidate for the sporting director role at Tottenham, has also emerged as a target for West Ham United.
Spurs are not the only London club on the lookout for a new director of football, with the Hammers also reported to be looking to bring in a new face to fill that role at the London Stadium.
It was reported by Mais Futebol last week that West Ham are set to challenge Tottenham for Roma general manager Tiago Pinto, with the publication even suggesting that the East London club are ahead of their rivals in the race for the Portuguese coach.
Football Insider then claimed earlier this week that David Moyes’ men could also challenge Spurs for Brentford technical director Lee Dykes.
90 min have now revealed that West Ham are ‘working through an extensive shortlist’ of directors as majority owner David Sullivan wants to revamp the club’s recruitment.
Apart from Dykes and Pinto, Steidten is also named as one of the options that the club are exploring.
The 44-year-old, who left his position as Bayer Leverkusen’s sports coordinator back in March, told DeichStube last week that he wants his next job to be in the Premier League and admitted that he has received offers from English clubs.
