Report: Spurs and Madrid in talks over swap deal involving Kane

Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is undoubtedly one of the very best strikers in world football right now, and has been for a number of years.

This year alone, Kane has scored ten goals in 15 games for a struggling Spurs side, while also netting ten goals and setting up five in six games for England (Transfer Markt).

In his Spurs career, Kane has managed 174 goals in 268 games, spanning across 11 seasons with the Lilywhites (Wikipedia).

However, a report out of Spain now claims that Spurs and Real Madrid are in negotiations over a player swap deal between Kane and Karim Benzema.

Spurs are said to want Benzema, who they value at £68m, as well as £103m in cash, for Harry Kane. However, Madrid apparently only see Kane as a £120m player (El Desmarque).

The talks are said to be ‘quite advanced’, with Karim Benzema’s wages also seen as another potential problem.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This report out of Spain is laughable. One, Harry Kane does not want to leave. Two, Spurs do not want to sell. Three, Kane is easily worth £200m. Four, Benzema is 31 and over the hill. Five, Benzema is not worth £68m. Need I go on?
