Report: Spurs and West Ham both make offers for the same 22-goal striker

Le Soir report that the race for Mohamed Amoura is heating up between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, with both clubs alleged to have submitted offers for the Union Saint-Gilloise star.

Amoura has taken the Belgian top flight by storm this season, having found the back of the net 22 times across all competitions so far.

The Algerian’s goals are a key reason why Union SG are sitting seven points clear on the top of the Juliper Pro League table and look on course to be crowned champions.

Unsurprisingly, the 23-year-old’s performances have attracted plenty of attention, with GiveMeSport suggesting earlier this month that the Lilywhites have their eye on the striker.

Just a couple of days ago, Algerian outlet DZ Foot even asserted that Tottenham had already launched a concrete offer for the player.

The same claim has now been backed up by Le Soir, who say that it is not just Spurs who have made a bid for Amoura but so have their London rivals West Ham.

While the value of Tottenha’s offer is not revealed, it is asserted that the Hammers have bid €15m (£12.7m) for the centre-forward.

The report adds that Brighton and Wolves are also circling Amoura, who Union SG value at €20m (£17.1m).

Spurs Web Opinion

Amoura may be one of several strikers that Tottenham are exploring ahead of the summer but I doubt if the Alrgerian would be the North London club’s top target.

Postecoglou would want to sign a number nine who is proven at the highest level to challenge Richarlison and Son for a place in the starting eleven.
