Report: Spurs announce two additional pre-season friendlies

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they will be playing two more pre-season friendlies against Leyton Orient and MK Dons ahead of the start of next season.

Spurs confirmed last week that they would be facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday August 4 before hosting Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 8, leading into their opening Premier League match against Manchester City on August 15.

The club have now revealed that ahead of the two London derbies, Spurs will also take on the Dons and the O’s.

Tottenham will take on Orient at the Breyer Group Stadium on Saturday 17 July, with the teams competing for the JE3 Foundation Trophy in the memory of former Spurs defender and Orient manager, Justin Edinburgh.

Spurs explained that £2 from every match ticket sold will be donated to the JE3 Foundation set up in his memory.

Tottenham will then make a trip to Stadium MK on Wednesday, 28 July to take on Russell Martin’s side.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Usually, I enjoy the pre-season friendlies but everything seems like a mess at the moment. I don’t see what we will get from them without a manager in place.
